On Tuesday the 24th October, all of year 2 visited the Water Filtration Plant in Surf beach.
Students learnt where our water comes from; how it is processed and cleaned; and where it is distributed too.
They most importantly learnt how precious a resource water is and why it is so crucial to save it.

Leading up to the excursion, year 2 were given a challenge: to see which class could achieve the smallest timed shower average.
The winners were...... 1/2S! With an average shower time of 3.4 minutes.
Well done boys and girls but don't stop it there, let's keep the short showers going and save more water!
